ColoWrap is on a mission to transform colonoscopy. The Company has developed a non-invasive approach to facilitate endoscope advancement using controlled, external abdominal compression. The Company’s flagship product, the ColoWrap Colonoscopy Compression Device is a single-use abdominal device worn by the patient during the exam that applies targeted, adjustable compression to mitigate scope looping. Use of ColoWrap reduces procedure times, improves patient outcomes, and eliminates the significant safety risks associated with the current status quo approach of staff-applied manual abdominal pressure. ColoWrap is currently cleared in the United States and usage is expanding rapidly. The Company recently was awarded a Phase I SBIR grant by the National Science Foundation to support additional R&D focused on specific use cases and patient populations.

Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on, highly driven Product Manager to lead product strategy. As Product Manager, you will focus on anticipating customer needs, designing simple, yet functional solutions, and assessing tradeoffs for implementation and engineering priorities. You will work cross-functionally to define product requirements, deliver production ready devices, and ensure their success in the market. This role is ideal for a biomedical engineer that has gained marketing experience and is looking for a hybrid role in an early-stage opportunity in which they can have a major impact. Passion and appreciation for the start-up grind is required. 


  • Spending time in the market / field with current customers to truly understand their problems and priorities and gain and keen sense for how they’re currently using our product and where expansion opportunities exist
  • Mapping the customer journey / experience from the perspective of various personas / end-users, identifying common questions and chokepoints, and overseeing the development of product marketing materials, tools, and resources to overcome common challenges
  • Working with customers to collect data and success stories; overseeing authorship and publishing these data via clinical abstracts, posters, journal publications, and paid content
  • Engaging the Company’s Clinical Advisory Board Members and developing new relationships with other KOLs
  • Developing product educational content and training materials for endoscopy personnel and physicians
  • Identifying product innovation opportunities and prioritizing product enhancement initiatives; Being the source of customer-centric guidance to NSF-funded product development project: Developing and executing on the product roadmap—defining, prioritizing, and shaping features and products to further address the needs of our users and the business
  • Working with current customers to capture tips, tricks, and best-practices of ColoWrap use; synthesizing this material into educational content and training courses
  • Developing product, sales, and pricing strategies to target new and adjacent markets
  • Act as a liaison between the product, marketing, and sales teams—translating business and technical requirement to inform strategic direction of the Company
  • Being the company expert in customer discovery principles—building systems to measure, learn from, and inform the strategic vision of the Company
  • Working directly with CEO and Product Engineers on intellectual property development and expansion
  • Working with Product Engineers and Designers to ensure product vision becomes a reality

Professional Qualifications and Required Skills: 

The ideal candidate would be a person who can get stuff done, moves fast, loves working collaboratively, but is a self-driven enterprising person with limitless curiosity. In addition, below are the qualifications and skills required to succeed in this role.  

  • Min. of three years of product marketing or product management experience in medical device, healthcare technology, or similar technology industry (B2B, supporting an innovative product requiring customer behavior change).
  • Experience engaging with end users in real time to capture "Voice of Customer" data.
  • Master of Engineering Management, Master of Business Administration degree, or other relevant field.  
  • Passion for product management; Knowledge of and experience / preferences for various product management frameworks, philosophies, and tools.
  • Proven creativity demonstrated through realized development projects. 
  • Tenacity. We are doing some important things, and we will find some roadblocks along the way, big and small. A big part of this role is keeping an even keel and finding the route through or around the obstacles. 
  • An insatiable intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space. 
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle, the pain points / processes of medical device companies, and how education, training & marketing work within the Business. 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. We are a small, agile, and effective team. We are required to wear many hats but love autonomy and making an enormous impact. 

 Availability and Travel Requirements: 

  • This role will require you to be in the field 25-30% of the time.
